AIRCRAFT ACCIDENT PHOTOGRAPHS
Many of the
reports contain accident photos. Most are close-up details of components
damaged in the accident, but there are thousands of shots of complete
but damaged airplanes. Many show nose art and other unique markings. They
are copied on plain paper with the other pages of the report or digitally
for better quality. Many of the photos are of poor quality and scratched.
The microfilm process has deteriorated the images, but most of the photographs
still can be enlarged to 4x5 or 5x7 prints. Below are a few examples of
